Hearth and Hamlet Controls & UI Settings

Current Hearth and Hamlet Demo controls and interface settings, including manual gathering, UI scaling, resolution, audio, helper arrows, and hiding the UI.

Current input model

Hearth and Hamlet is primarily a mouse-and-keyboard management game. Early gathering can be performed by interacting with resource nodes; Demo hands-on material describes using the left mouse button or Spacebar for manual gathering. Exact bindings should be checked in the current options screen because the full-release input list is not yet published.

Steam does not currently show a controller-support category. That means this page does not promise full gamepad navigation, controller glyphs, or a console-like interface even though the game can run on some handheld setups.

Confirmed Demo v1.0.46 interface options

Setting or shortcutCurrent behavior
Hide interfaceShift + F11
UI scalingAutomatic mode or manual scale
Helper arrowsCan be hidden in options
ResolutionRevised resolution choices
4K readabilityZoom and game-size adjustments added
AudioSeparate music, sound-effects, and UI sound controls

UI scaling was one of the most important June improvements. If panels are clipped or text is too small, try the automatic setting first, then move to a manual scale that keeps menus inside the screen. On a 4K display, resolution and UI scale should be adjusted together rather than treating them as the same control.

Clean screenshots and recordings

Use Shift + F11 to hide the interface in Demo v1.0.46. Press the shortcut again to restore it before continuing normal play. This is useful for screenshots, but hiding the UI does not pause production or stop kingdom events.

What is not confirmed

The complete keyboard binding list, key rebinding, controller detection, and controller glyphs are not confirmed for the full release. The shortcuts and options above apply to Demo v1.0.46 unless the game states otherwise.
